Default Re: 661 Muncie case use in 69 Vette

[ QUOTE ]
I found a Muncie trans that has a 69 Vette partial VIN, and has a 661 maincase. Did GM use these cases late in the 69 model year because of the longer than usual production run for the Vettes and Camaros?
All the other 69 Muncies I've seen were a 660 case.

my vette produced in 11/69 with tranny date of P9R03B has a 660 case!

Maybe it depended what they had on hand, so some got 660's and others got 661's late in the production run.
