Default Re: SCR12 Carrier Transport from AZ - have a few s

As an update to this great opportunity - we will have prices available on wed - which i will post as soon as they come in. Let me say that our newest sponsor is weighing in to participate in our show this year, which is very encouraging. As of today we have 3 slots committed, a 4th slot on hold and we are looking for 2 more great cars to fill the trailer. The interest has been outstanding - we also can get a 2nd trailer if the need arises. Please encourage your fellow SYC members to join this years show.....i have a feeling this will be one of the best, especially with some of the cars that are completing their restorations in the next months.

More later and pass the word!!

Gentleman - we have concluded, for now, a round of negotiations for the best price, quality, coverage, and on-time delivery and return to Phoenix for the SCR12 show. We have received quotes from four carriers. Our new sponsor, Reliable, has provided a very competitive quote of $1500.00 per car for the ROUND TRIP from Phoenix to the SCR show and back. The enclosed trailer will accommodate 6 cars and this price is assuming we have 6 reservations for a full load. The enclosed hauler WILL STAY AT THE SHOW until we are ready to reload and head back to Phoenix.

I would like to thank Tommy Lee Austin for his help in obtaining a great quote from Reliable. As of today, we have 3 slots committed, 1 on hold and we need 2 more enthusiasts to bring their pride and joy to the show. To add some new flavor to the show, 3 of the committed cars have not been to an SCR show before!!

We will work on the detailed logistics over the next few weeks in preparation for the show. We will also obtain the latest commitment date possible from Reliable - so please pass the word, provide us any recommendations for other cars to join the trip.

PM me or Sam if you have any questions please. When we get additional info or pertinent info from questions, ill update this thread accordingly.

Thanks again for the support .........

Ed and Sam

Let me be one of the first to say Thank You to Ed, Sam and the rest of the folks who make this event the One-Of-A-Kind/Can't-Miss gathering it has become. Too many of us fail to give credit to the owners for their dedication to, and enjoyment of this hobby. It's obviously not cheap to get these cars to Collinsville, Rosemont, or many of the other shows across the country. And to do this knowing there is no reward, trophy, or reimbursement of any kind is testament to the love of these cars and the friendship that they have brought.
So to EVERYONE who brings these special old hunks of iron for the rest of us to reminisce and drool over, a HUGE THANK YOU from a grateful hobbiest.

And I know I'm speaking for Many, Many others when I ask, "Is it September yet?"
