[ QUOTE ] With the sun shade in place I could not see a VIN on the dash either ![]() [/ QUOTE ] If it is a 67, I'm pretty sure there's no VIN on the dash anyway, Jeff. The Shelby VIN (if the car is in fact a real Shelby) will be on a plate on the drivers side inner fender; not visible unless the hood is open. That plate covers up the original Ford VIN which is stamped right into the inner fender. [/ QUOTE ] Thats why i was hoping the guy would come out so i could as him/her to open the hood so i could check the tags

I still say it's a fake; if I'm not mistaken, those are 1968 front fenders. I would bet that someone cloned a 1968 into a 1967 Shelby.

The front fenders are 68 as well. Likely you can see the vin tag at the base of the windshield (passenger side)for 68 only. For cars prior to 68 it is on the inside of driver door. After 68 it was moved to driver side windshield base. The Brake holes are usually added when people start adding the repro glass to complete their clones. This is a reproduction 67 front clip. |

the VIN on the 68 was on the PASSENGER side of the windshield/dashpad
this has 4 wheel disc brakes, there is no roll bar, so I vote well done clone intended for track use
