Most would love to see it back on the road again, but it's a tough decision.

I only have experience with reviving one barn survivor car. A 7900 mile car that had been dormant for decades.

First was getting it running again. Not a big deal, made sure it turned over, oil change w/ 1qt of dex/merc. Clean the tank, lines, and rebuild carb. Plus plugs/points, and later the plug wires replaced. Once it got to temp, heater core was shot.

Hit the brake pedal, no go. Rebuilt master cylinder, no prob. But once the brake system built pressure, more issues. F-R hard line sprung leaks, wheel cylinders shot, and rear flex was clogged. That nice, new F-R brake line looks out of place, and the carb is a little cleaner than the rest of the engine, but it's back on the road running like a top.

Chuckle's car is probably better and would (likely) have less issues, but still a possibility. While a lot of the original stuff can be rebuilt, there's still a chance you'll have no choice other than to replace some things.

So I guess the question is do you roll the dice and hope everything will be okay, or possibly have to alter some of the originality in order to get it back on the road again?

My January built Nova is the same; a mix of 4Q68 and 1Q69.
