Well, the car is gone. I stopped and talked to the nephew of the owner (less than friendly I might add) and he said that his uncle is having the car restored "by a guy that knows bodywork"...
  I feel safer already. I hope it lives again, but it sounds like a so/so effort to me. I think the guy is tired of hearing about this car from strangers. Blair
