I just received an email tonight from my friend Patrick who has accompanied me to the Reunion for the past two years and who has brought along his Daytona Yellow 1969 Camaro SS 350. Tom and Rob have graciously allowed him to Drag Race with the Supercars for the past two years. Anyway, at the Reunion Banquent this past Labor Day weekend, I had supper with Bob McClurg and told him about Patrick's Camaro during our conversation and meal together. He wanted to see it so on Saturday I took him outside to see the car in the outside Muscle Car show put on by the Gateway Camaro Club. He liked it so much that he asked Patrick if he could "shoot" it on Sunday morning before we left.

Anyway, here is Patrick's email to me this evening:

Well, the yellow '69 is now a magazine feature car. Yes, the latest issue (March) of Chevy Rumble on page 40 the article of "The Cornhusker Camaro", features our Daytona Yellow '69. The article is spiced up a bit with a small stretch about my father, I guess he is with me in spirit. Oh well, large 5 page spread with pictures of both sides of the car, underneath, motor and interior. Check it out it should be on stands in the next couple of weeks.
