Code 40 Butternut Yellow Z/28 Pictures. Real ?
I mentioned in a recent post that I am looking for a butternut yellow 69 Z/28 and it brought about some questions whether they exist or not. Records show that GM made about 125 or so of them and I recently stumbled across a car that I photographed at a car show about 10 years ago. It appears to be a butternut Z/28 with white stripes. I don't know if its real or not as a couple things look a bit odd with this car. Black grill and rear antenna c/w spoiler, but then we have all seen this happen to cars out there. If it's real, then this would surely be one of the rare ones. One thing for sure is that it's the only one I have ever seen in the flesh. I forgot about this one being seen until I found the picture of it the other day while I was cleaning out my data safe.
If the general did in fact make that many of them in Code 40 B/Y, was it available with black stripes. I really would like to know about this so if anyone has any GM Zone paper referring to 69 color combo's or has seen a Butternut 69 Z/28, please don't be shy. Sorry about the glare on the pictures. They are digital photos taken of old photos. Thanks in advance... Graeme
