Default Re: 70 Nova SS with 402 + THM 400

Charlie & Steve you are right.
Let me clarify.
I meant to say that the Nova got the majority of those M-40 Transmissions.
If the L-78 Camaro didn't get the M-40,and very few L-78 Chevelles got the M-40,then that would leave the rest of the 1338 M-40 coded engines to be found in the L-78 Novas.

Now out of the 3765 L-78 Novas produced,lets say 1000 were M-40's.
Leaving 2765 Novas getting the Manual trans.,as Steve has suggested he has seen more with the Manual trans as well.

Again this is my guesstimate,
but Bottom line is a 1970 L-78 Camaro-Nova-Chevelle with an M-40 Auto.Trans.from the factory is a rare car.The majority of them all were Manual trans.Sorry to have worded that wrong earlier.

Steve
My Trans tag says:
276
70 CW 1436
I believe the 276 to mean the 276th day of the year.Which decodes to October 2nd 1969.Which would work out correct to my October 24th Cowl tag date.
