Hopefully the very knowledgeable members here can help me with some mysteries.
After seeing the T-3 Headlight post, I looked at all my 7" headlight bulbs and rings. 1st, I have one galvanized bucket, with a 1" wide ring. The mounting method is strange to me, it is not the 3 screw tabs, but a metal tongue type thing. Anyone recognize this? 2nd, are black buckets with 1/2" wide ring. Any clue what they are from? Lastly, A buddy gave me some rings in opened NOS packages (not sure if they are). GR 2.726 #5952000. I found an ebay seller stating that part # is for a 74-75 Laguna. Seems to be a typical GM service part, being marked correct for a whole range of cars from 40s Chevy's, 55-57 Corvette and other 2 light systems until 1975. They measure 3/4" wide, but real 69 Camaro rings are 1" wide. Is there a more accurate car these came from vs a service replacement part? Are people really paying $150 for a NOS pair of these? (HBC) Any help on the mystery buckets, so I can find a home for them, would be appreciated.
