The 1969 Road Runner with the 440 Six Barrel (A12 package) was a serious street machine featuring a 440 cubic inch V8 with three two-barrel Holley carburetors, rated at a stout 390 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque, using heavy-duty components like special rods, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, and available with heavy-duty Dana 60 rear ends and manual/Torqueflite transmissions for raw, no-frills performance
