As always, we have a TON going at the the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show.
To help you in planning your visit, here is the Schedule of Events for Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully you are planing on joining us both days, as just seeing the 600+ cars will take many hours! The Unveilings, Seminars, "Round Table" discussions, celebrity appearances and all the other stuff just adds to the fun. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS SHOW HOURS SATURDAY: 9 AM – 8 PM 9:15 am – 1:00 pm PREMIER UNVEILINGS: Locations vary in Red Zone 1 and Green Zone 2. Look for the Premier Segment and Unveiling flags. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY Meet Derek Bieri: Derek Bieri of Vice Grip Garage and Road Worthy Rescues joins us Saturday and Sunday, Derek will be meeting fans and signing autographs and generally mixing it up with all of us. Main Stage, Green Zone 2 at 10:30-12:00, other locations TBA 3:00-5:00 & 6:00-7:30 Saturday signings: 10:30-12:00 noon, 3:00-5:00 & 6:00-7:30. Meet Chris Jacobs: While many know Chris from his days on Overhaulin’ (with Courtney!) his resume includes numerous television and movie roles. Today he serves as one of Mecum Auctions on air personalities and best of all, he is a real car guy. Chris will be Co-Hosting some of our Premier Unveilings, starting at 9:15 am and signing autographs Saturday in the big Mecum Auctions display. He will also be hanging out at the show both days checking out the cars and meeting fans. Saturday 2:00 and 5:00 in the Mecum Auctions display, Red Zone 1. Meet Dennis Collins: Dennis Collins, of Coffee Walk (and so much more!) will be with us all weekend, meeting fans, signing autographs and of course, checking out the cars. Dennis will also be bringing one of his recent finds; a very special C3 Corvette and taping for upcoming episodes. Saturday and Sunday throughout the show. Meet Wayne Carini, Presented by Car Capsule: Wayne Carini of Chasing Classic Cars fame will be with us both days, based in the Car Capsule display in Zone 1, but also meeting and signing autographs throughout the show. Check in at the Car Capsule display for exact times of signings. Green Zone 2 Spot 20. Meet Peter Segal: Hollywood movie producer Peter Segal has a resume that will blow you away; The Longest Yard, Anger Management and 50 First Dates are just some of the movies he has produced. Peter also happens to own one of the original Tommy Boy Mopars from the movie! Meet Peter and check out the incredibly restored Tommy Boy “GTX”. Saturday and Sunday; all day. Red Zone 1 up front. Meet Butch “The California Flash” Leal. We are honored to have The California Flash with us both days, signing autographs and meeting fans. He will be with one of his own California Flash racers in the A990 Invitational area, Green Zone 2. Meet Jason Line. With 49 NHRA Pro Stock wins and numerous other drag racing achievements, Jason Line has enjoyed a truly outstanding career. While he retired from Pro Stock racing in 2020, don’t think for a minute he is off the track. Jason will be with us all weekend, making stops by the Grumpy’s Toy Vega and the Team Mopar Daytona in the Main Lobby. Meet Lee Quinones. Lee is considered the single most influential artist to emerge from the New York subway art movement…and he is a Car Guy who will be joining us with his ’65 Dodge. Saturday and Sunday near the main stage with his black ’65 Dodge in Green Zone 2 near the stage. Meet Peter Brock. Everybody knows Peter Brock for a different reason. To Corvette fans he’s the guy who penned the lines of the original Sting Ray racer and by extension, the '63 Corvette “split window”. To Cobra fans meanwhile, Peter’s the guy who took the brick-like Shelby Cobra roadster and turned it into the slippery Cobra Daytona Coupe. Datsun devotees love to remember Peter Brock of Brock Racing Enterprises. In addition to Unveiling his very own Peter Brock Studio Concept Corvette, he will be meeting fans and signing autographs all weekend by his car. Red Zone 1, right up front, all day. Meet Paul Rossi, “Mr. Direct Connection”. Paul will be joining us with one of his HEMI powered drag cars in the History of the 426 HEMI Invitational display in Green Zone 2. Meet Paul and see what he is up to now with his latest drag project. Meet Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick: Yes…Arnie really is a farmer to this day and an enthusiastic Drag Racer that has set numerous national records in various Tameless Tiger Pontiacs. Meet Arnie near the Ballroom area in Blue Zone 5, all day. ROCK & ROLL BACKLINE DISPLAY and MORE. Check out an incredible collection of rock and roll memorabilia from the Chicago Music Exchange VAULT Collection. Chicago Music Exchange will have some incredible Rock Star guitars and memorabilia with some very special guest appearances Saturday. There will be even more in this incredible display. You will also see Rick Nielsen of Cheap Tricks 1957 Thunderbird surrounded by these Rock & Roll treasures! Saturday and Sunday in Green Zone 2 Kids FREE Scavenger Hunt and other Kids activities; All Day. Kids 14 and under can check in at the Information booth up front to pick up your scavenger hunt card and backpack. Hot Wheels Races, Model Car Make and Take Sponsored by Auto World, NCM Youth Judging, Coloring contest, all FREE for the kiddos! Hands-on Activities take place in our Kids Zone in the Orange Zone 4 center hall, to the right of Muscle Bicycle display. NCM Insurance Insurance Youth Judging, Saturday only; check in at Information booth in Red Zone 1. Kids Youth Judging, Presented by NCM Insurance. Kids get a real “behind the scenes look” into what the Judges look for. They also get to meet some awesome owners, who will share why they got into this awesome hobby and present special awards to their favorites. Saturday 2:00. Sign up at the Information booth right by the Main Entrance in Red Zone 1. Please sign up early! Seminars and Panel Discussions for Saturday: Open to all spectators and participants. Meet Eddie and Ricky Pearson, sons of legendary racer David Pearson. The Pearson Brothers will share stories about David and his many adventures, both in NASCAR and a variety of other forms of racing and will talk about the 1937 Ford racer you will see at the show, along with the ’65 A990 that David drove. Green Zone 2, Stage. 1:00: Meet The Legends: Butch “The California Flash” Leal, Arnie Beswick, Paul Rossi, John Troxell and others. Moderated by Geoff Stunkard. There is nothing better than doing a bit of “bench racing” with some of Drag Racing’s true icons. This casual talk and Q&A session is sure to be fun, as all of these guys really love to share tales of their storied careers! Shelby will talk about growing up immersed in the world of off-road racing with her grandfather and how this led to her becoming a racer and the force behind SHO Racing. Green Zone 2, Stage. 4:00 Meet the Future, Moderated by Matt Avery. If you think that the younger generation has no interest in our hobby, you MUST attend this panel discussion. Meet some of the young men and ladies that are as passionate about our hobby as me. This includes several active and successful racers, several that are currently building their cars, another that builds, races and fabricates and a young photographer. Green Zone 2, Stage. LIVE MUSIC SATURDAY! 5:00: TNT Chicago, Presented by Chicago Music Exchange: If you are a fan of AC/DC, get ready to be blown away. As the ultimate tribute band, they look, sound and feel like the real thing. Close your eyes and you will feel like Angus is playing just for you. Green Zone 2, Stage area. 6:30: SUGO, Presented by RBC Wealth Management: Joining us from Milwaukee, SUGO is a New Orleans style Funk band that really rocks. Now if this doesn’t get you out of your seat something is just wrong. Formed by guitarist/vocalist Mike Cudahy, he and his bandmates love FUNK, but they are steeped in blues and heavy rock & roll.
