This was my first time attending the Copperstate 1000 prelaunch show. In case you did not know, the Copperstate 1000 is a four day 1000 mile road rally throughout Arizona. It begins with a ceremony at Tempe Diablo stadium and everyone is welcomed down on the field. I believe today's destination was Sedona, and what an awesome destination that is!
Anyway, it is open to pre-1975 (I think they raised the maximum this year) vintage sports cars. As you can see, most of the participants are driving expensive, vintage foreign cars. However, there are a few awesome American cars hitting the road also. There is also a non-participant car show outside the stadium in one of the parking lots. By the time I was done in the stadium, most of those were gone. The view when you walk in; ![]() Starting with this Ferrari ![]() This Studebaker is a frequent participant and also participates in road rallies south of the border. ![]() ![]() One of many of these Jags ![]() ![]() One of my favorites! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Wow! Supposedly this Jag was found abandoned in the California desert. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Continued
