Sunday Funday Bonus! Copperstate 1000 Tempe Diablo Stadium
This was my first time attending the Copperstate 1000 prelaunch show. In case you did not know, the Copperstate 1000 is a four day 1000 mile road rally throughout Arizona. It begins with a ceremony at Tempe Diablo stadium and everyone is welcomed down on the field. I believe today's destination was Sedona, and what an awesome destination that is!
Anyway, it is open to pre-1975 (I think they raised the maximum this year) vintage sports cars. As you can see, most of the participants are driving expensive, vintage foreign cars. However, there are a few awesome American cars hitting the road also. There is also a non-participant car show outside the stadium in one of the parking lots. By the time I was done in the stadium, most of those were gone. The view when you walk in; Starting with this Ferrari This Studebaker is a frequent participant and also participates in road rallies south of the border. One of many of these Jags One of my favorites! Wow! Supposedly this Jag was found abandoned in the California desert. Continued
