Tom, there is alot more then just that? Camshaft tech, fuels and lubricants as well as what the factories are doing all help with making the "average" car faster then it would have been back in even the '80's. Fuels even. Look at the Oxygenated fuels and how they alone can effect ET. I've personally seen a 8 second N/A SB pick up 2 tenths from going from C16 to Q16 when he jetted up accordingly. There is so many other things that we do that I can't get into either, Pro-flite trans, Ti wheel studs, carbon brake, ceramic bearing etc. that help the whole package, yet some people wouldn't even look into these areas or notice till you point it out, yet those there can be 1/2 a second in ET.
