I was always leery of using the plate, but I have a lot of friends including my engine builder who uses it all the time. I ended up setting my engine in and had no issues at all. I can't remember the numbers but if you add up the strength of four 5/16" bolts......they will hold a lot, even in aluminum. Anyway.....your project looks great Albert. Can't wait to see/hear it in Ohio. Kurt
