Jerry, his wife and young son did quite a bit of sightseeing during his assignments. A Camaro with a full size spare doesn't allow much luggage space so he installed the rack.

Here's another shot of the car with the rack. This time near Edirne, Turkey as they were on their way to Thessaloniki, Greece to visit the famous biblical place called Phillipi.
