I am trying to track down some history on My 1962 m-code galaxie. On the driver door theres an old oil change sticker from Lew's Shell Service 1601 N Texas at Travis Blvd, Fairfield California. Does anyone remember this service station or my car? I checked and dont believe that station is still there. Its a Los Angeles built car may have been sold in San Jose area. Its a copper on copper color 390-401hp conv 4sd white top car. Anyone may remember it????

That's near Travis AFB. Perhaps the owner at that time was in the air force? That gas station, if it still exists, is probaly a self-serve only food mart and no longer a traditional service station.
Edit: Mapquest aerial photo seems to show a service station/mini mart on the NE corner of N. Texas and Travis Blvd. Ol' Lew probably retired or sold off his Shell franchise 25 years ago. |

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Maybe someone in the airforce, maybe an officer, bought the car and some how ended up in PA. Car hasnt been on the road since 1969. Has 1969 pa plates on it but It was in Cali before that. If anyone know anything about that area or the car let me know
