I have an AC fuel pump that is part #6475748, with a metal tag stamped AC 40170. Does anyone have an old parts book or know the application? it looks like the L-88, ZL-1 pump, but those have a stamped number of 40731. A later replacement? Thanks!

Yes it does. The casting is very smooth and not rough like the 40731 casting I also have.
