Default Hurst Comp Plus in stock console

I am putting a Hurst Comp Plus in a 69 Camaro. I would like to use the factory console . The handle I have does not look like it will come through the console or the trans tunnel (without trimming) in the right location. Has anyone done this before.Which handle should I get or do I need to fab one up ? Thanks in advance for any help.

Lino

The Hurst CP handle # you need for the console is 7436. I used my local Speed Shop to get it from. Sam

IT is imparative that when ordering a shifter and handle that you order the correct one for your 69 with council or it will not fit.
I ordered mine from summitt along with the assembly kit.
