Default More Old Days

A few more pics from old Hot Rod Yearbooks!

Fastback Chevy II from Seattle.

Wild Willie, both hands on the wheel this time, heats the hides.

Blown Chrysler flat bottom.

STP stickers were everywhere in the late '60s.

Rat-powered early Chevy II.

This is what SoCal "tuners" looked like in 1966.

I miss hanging out at the gas station with my buds.

1964 Dodge "Charger" exhibition cars. Yes, they were called Chargers, according to the text.

Auto Shop project '57 drag racer with its proud builders! A-pluses all around!!!

Jerry Titus whoops it up in a '67 427 Vette. You'd be happy too.

The Pepsi Generation seemed to prefer the Nova with the 307...

The broom guy can't believe there isn't a spoiler on that Camaro.

'67 SS 350 with '69 cowl induction added prepares to hit the strip.

As does this bumperless '68 Z.

Endura Z gets a jet change before running through the lights.

Turn 9 at Riverside before it was covered over by pink stucco and strip malls.

Two Chevy classics get it on.

Look at those meats!

I wouldn't change a thing.

I wouldn't change a thing.

Hayden Profitt and his engine man Bill Thomas.

Red '66 SS 396 Chevelle.

Here's something different: a '66 SS Chevelle with Impala SS-style three-bar wheelcovers and whitewalls. How'bout it Bruce????

Hey-Hey... Where did that pic of the Rat powered '64 Chevy II come from?? I'd like to see what else they show/say about that car. It happens to be from the same dealer my '64 is from in Van Nuys: Pollard-Ravenscroft.

Pollard-Ravenscroft plate frame wanted post -still wanted.

I have the March '66 Hot Rod where they cover Chuck Barnow's 100 Series '64 Chevy II being stuffed with a 396 at Richard Johnson's Fiasco Automotive in North Hollywood. This is a different car and was only used to make towing his rod through the hills easier. -That was their excuse.

I'd like to see what else they did to the Chevy II you posted and steel it's plate frame. Let me know and would you be able to send me a high quality/detailed scan of the pics and/or article?

Thanks, Paul
