Default My Carb...before and after!

I was having a problem with whistling coming from my carb while driving the Chevelle. I PM'ed Eric Jackson ( Vintage Musclecar on this site) and explained to him what I was experiencing. He told me what was most likely wrong with the carb...and so when I had to go to Las Vegas last weekend...I decided to pull the carb and send it to him for a rebuild and restoration.

It turns out that the throttle shaft bushings were almost gone...and the baseplate was warped. Either and/or both could have caused the problem that I was experiencing.

Anyways, here are 3 shots of the carb as I was taking it off to send to Eric.

Now here's the finished result

BIG difference! It should be on it's way home tomorrow, and I should get it mid-week next week. The attention to detail is amazing

I can't wait!

Thanks a bunch Eric...you are amazing!

Wow, nice looking carb! This calls for a burnout photo once it's all back together!

Looks great! I think I better box mine up and get it taken care of. It needs to get totally restored.

Well, now it's too nice to put back on the car and actually have fuel going through it Can't you just get a "driver" carb and have the resored one on display in your living room somewhere?
