Default Black Carpet Dye

Are there any products available to Dye black carpet? The carpet in my 70 Z is in good shape except for fading in a few areas. Thanks,

Paul

I have used RIT dye (available at most grocery stores) many times on sunfaded door panel carpet and floor carpet as well.
Clean it very good and then get out in the sun and use a soft bristled brush to work the dye solution into the carpet. (A long round brush like you use in a degreaser tank works great.) Let it dry and it is a permanent lasting dye.
We dyed the original sun bleached carpet and door panel carpet on the Judge Conv that I painted. If you follow the link below you can see some pics of the finished product.
Just scroll down to OUR HOBBIES and click the Judge Conv link.

I have had good results with grabbing a few fizz cans of it at Schucks and spraying rather wet like a few inches off the carpet in the car and with your rubber glove on rubb it in...bounced back real well and you dont have to fight it out of the car.
