Now that I look closer at the ad, I see that the "turbines" are curved, while mine are straight. The extension of the fins looks the same to me. The cap & spinner didn't come with the wheels, they were something the shop had that I purchased the wheels from... they offered a wide variety of types to choose from. The wheels are definitely not '82 Collector Edition wheels.
I wasn't looking for Motion wheels when I purchased them 7 years ago... I was looking for something that matched the real GM Mako Shark... I was just amused when I ran across this ad the other day. I'm very happy with my wheels no matter what the deal is on them ![]()

Nowadays, if I wanted wheels that closely match the GM Mako Shark, I have found that Ecklers now offers a bolt-on reproduction of the knock-off wheel used on the mid-years (and the GM Mako Shark).

Here's a close-up of the wheel that smooth is talking about... it's a little blurry, but you can still tell that the fins are curved.
