Wow! Very cool that you drove to the track, raced, drove home - over 700 miles!! [/ QUOTE ] Just living up to the car's legacy as a "gentleman's hot rod". Not sure how Rusty got hold of one, though.......... ![]()

Too cool to say the least, but like I said before, I was on pins and needles listening to see if something was going bad. JLerum, Sorry, I failed to apologize about the fly-by going down I-95. I was actually wanting to see if anything was coming out of the pipes! ![]() Dave, I was had just turned 25 when I got the car, they did not know how exactly how I was going to turn out! ![]() ![]()

I posted this chart over at the Pure Stock site, but thought some of y'all over here might like to take a peek as well. I charted some info on the top 21 cars at Stanton this fall...I chose "21" cause that's how many were in the 12s.

Hey Rob or Pete - how do they measure the horsepower that is listed in the chart above?...is it HP at the flywheel with open exhaust manifolds or what is the criteria?...

It's derived from a calculation using the trap speed & race weight of the car. I've heard varying opinions on what the final number actually is (peak fwhp, average fwhp, net hp, rear wheel hp, etc.), but here is the formula used:
![]() You can see where you car measures up using the above formula, or just plug your numbers into the calculator on this page (use Patrick Hale's calculator): http://www.stealth316.com/2-calc-hp-et-mph.htm |
