I've read that NCRS judges will deduct points if your Corvette's paint doesn't have the factory orange-peel.

I thought that car sold, I heard them say the reserve was off the car was for sale. The person I talked to who said he owned the car was not a dealer and now I see a dealer owns it.

I guess it would have 100134 miles on it if they restored at at exactly 100000 miles but what do you think the odds of that are ?

Did BKH and Company restore this car? Looks like his attention to detail kind of work!

Hey fellas,

I am in no way trying to discredit this car, but I have a 69 Z I am trying to restore and look over restored cars as closely as I can to help me to restore my own car. I am just trying to learn and want to ask some questions about it's correctness. Is the left front engine lift hook correct? This looks like the one that is now for sale through the vendors, not the one bolt style I have seen before. Is the alternator bracket correct? I didn't think it was supposed to have the adjustment hole in it. Are the valve covers not too shiny indicative of the newer ones rather than the dull ones? The springs appear to be 5 leaf, is this correct? I suppose that from the comments already made the sticker is wrong? Is it the wrong one or not supposed to be there at all? Thanks for whatever answers you can give me. I just want to try and do it right the first time.

Ed

I understand that this car is over-restored. If you want to make it correct you have to spray the bottom of the of car black. According to Jerry's book, all were painted black. Sweet car! ... but like any classic some items need attention.

Not all of the Camaros I have done have had a black underside, they go from gray to black. I think it depends on what ecoat had mixed with it that day.

I believe 5 leafs were an option. These were probably replaced because of sagging. The valve covers are to bright. This is what you get unless you buy used. The alternator bracket looks correct and the engine hoist bracket, I think?? is a later issued one. Remember NOT everything is written in stone, and NO one on this website is God! Do your own hands on research. Sam
