Default If Yenko Wasn't His Name

Got to thinking the other day what an unusual Last name Don Yenko had. What nationality was he? Polish? Ukrainian?
I wonder if his last name was Hanson or even Jablonski if that is what he still would have named his company and cars after. SHC or SJC.The Hanson Deuce. The Jablonski Deuce.
Yenko sure is a unique name that does stick with you.Just some thoughts.

Default Re: If Yenko Wasn't His Name

This topic brings up something interesting that I discovered by accident. I was surfing the web when I entered Don Yenko's name as the subject of a web search. Don's name came up on a reference sight called www.findagrave.com . Before anyone gets upset, findagrave is not a goul or sicko sight and has a small biography and birth and death dates of many celebrities and people of notoriety. In Yenko's bio there is some incorrect information: the sight states that after his death Don Yenko was cremated and his ashes were placed in a IMSA Firehawk racecar and that he was listed as the co-driver. Don Yenko was not cremated and is buried in Bealsville Cemetery outside of the Cannonsburg-McMurry area in Pennsylvania. I was also told that Don has a veteran marker on his grave.
