Since you are planning to remove the trans, just pull the engine and do it right. You may get that leak to slow down some, but never completely stop with a bandaid. If it is a 1 piece pan gasket, there is WAY too much sealer on it and that will push the gasket out like that.

I think what you're looking at is actually the RTV that might have been "pushed" out due to crankcase pressure?? That was the reason I wanted to try that adjustable PCV, to see if it might lessen it?? I'll know more when I get back under there to try and move it around or just cut it off?!

It sounds so easy when you say it like that!!! And, I know, what you're saying about doing it "right", but I'm already having flashbacks about how long it's taken to get it to this point. I'm not sure I have it in me to go through all of that again!! I've pretty much agreed (with myself!!) to live with an oil leak at this point.
