I dropped off the driver's seat on Monday to see if he can repair the original seat cover. Also received a parts delivery last night and picked up a new temperature sender to test.

The car has some serious paint contamination - which is odd as one of the things the seller just had done was a "paint correction". The paint feels like 1,500 grit sandpaper. I experimented with how to best get the contamination off the paint surface and forgot I had this surface prep mitt. It works great - I did the driver front fender and half of the hood and am very happy with the results. Now to finish the rest of the car and then polish and wax it. Hoping to have another productive Sunday work day this weekend.

It's amazing what some old school interior guys can pull off. You are lucky, there are a couple of them down your way

I was able to spend a few hours on the car last night picking away at the list of things to do.....

Finished going over the paint with the surface prep mitt - very happy with the results, still need to polish and wax.
Got a picture of the hood gaps.
The trip odometer reset was missing the retaining nut and knob.
The gas pedal screws were wrong.
Installed 4 new T-3's and cleaned up the headlight buckets.
Replaced a broken drivers side courtesy light socket.
Tightened up a bunch of loose fasteners I found.
Cut the carpet correctly for the seats on both sides - previous installer just bolted down over top of carpet.
Removed the passenger side seat and did a deep cleaning/scrubbing and applied some 303 on it.
Did a deep cleaning/scrubbing and applied some 303 on the door panels and dash pads.
Tested a replacement headlight switch to confirm the one in the car is bad, I was able to get the wiring clip off but haven't been able to figure out how to get the switch off the bottom of the dash yet to replace it.

Little by little............
