WOW Pete, you are something else digging up these old adds.
From what I understand, the dark green one with decals was the local race car. It was pulled from the Conroy lot (L48 car) and raced by the Ambassadors car club.
It’s claimed to be still around here in BC and was seen driving up the highway years ago.
Have you came across any Cheetah adds from 1968?

There’s Conroy Ads from ‘68 w/ Cheetah’s noted as below + private Ads during ‘68 for earlier cars but I haven’t seen any Ads for ‘68 Cheetahs specifically which is why I asked if any known.
Here’s a few more 69’s I missed earlier, some may be the same car but different owners through the years also one w/ no model year noted may be an earlier car?
Again, there’s 66/67 Cheetah Ads I haven't posted being this thread’s for the 68/69’s, I can post them here or we can start another thread specific to the 66/67 cars?
Lastly, here’s an expanded view of the Purple ‘69 picture posted previously.

It is possible to find the names of the individuals and where they lived that owned those cars in 1971 and 1973 by cross referencing the telephone numbers in a City Directory. In Ontario we had Vernon's City Directories for most major cities. These listed names, addresses and telephone numbers in three sections of the book, white, pink and blue pages at that time. All you needed was one piece of information and you could find out a fair amount about an individual. If this was Ontario you would look up the telephone number in the blue section to see what name was associated with it. You would then go to the name section in the white pages and find the same name which you then use in the pink section to find the address. It even told you how many people lived in the home, where they worked and whether they owned the property or not. I do see that Vancouver did have city directories and you could likely view the 1971 and 1973 ones at the local library there as they usually have a collection of them in each City. I still use my collection of local ones to establish whether a property is a non-conforming use prior to official plan updates. Just a thought, if someone was really interested.

Thanks guys and Strato’s right about back-tracking Old Ad phone #’s, I’ve used the Ontario Vernon’s Directory before including some available online but have no idea if anything like it ever existed in BC?
As to ‘70 Tempest Cheetah’s, the 10/70 Ad above is the only one I’ve ever heard so no idea of mods but expect any would’ve remained Pontiac powered, not w/ Chevrolet engines like the Beaumont cars had?
Here’s a 05/12 article below w/ some great Cheetah info by ‘67 owner/historian George Pappas who notes some ‘65 cars were built also 68’s including the first Cheetah he ever saw.
Also below are a few more pics including another shot of the Green ‘69 at the Dragstrip w/ Orange accents + License Plate showing also a ‘66 Cheetah w/ Talbot Side Mirrors, same style on the ‘69 Purple car above…are they still w/ it today?
Love to hear/see more anything of Conroy Cheetahs, especially any ‘65/68/70 cars!
