Great question! I asked the original owner his opinion on this as I was really on the fence. Him and I agreed that it should probably be restored to the specs when he purchased the car new.

Yes, another great question. According to the original owner, he added the aluminum heads to the original engine in 1971. The pic of the engine is when the car was just being rebuilt for full time race duty.

That pan was close to the ground, although looking at the car in race trim the front end was pretty high.
