It's very similar to coming "of age" during the muscle car era. How can we NOT be addicted to that lifestyle ???

I blame my love of cars on 3 things: being born and living my whole life in California (the start of hot rodding after WWII), being a teen in the 1960's, and being of Italian heritage partly (what Italian doesn't love cars). I'm dating myself here, but I never had Hot Wheel cars growing up. My sister and I always played with Matchbox Series cars, the original all metal ones made in Lesney, England. I still have all of them.
