one thing that I found is that there is no listing of a members real name in their profile. It's nice to know what a persons real name is when you pm them or when you read one of their posts. Real names were in the profile with the old software.

Any luck w/ the issues I had noted back on Page #8 Jody?
Again, Google searching info in past threads here still finds them Ok but clicking on results now takes you to a menu page of the new system, not the old threads themselves w/ the info.
We all know how well the site search box here works so using Google the only way to find and get through to these facts.
This site's past threads are a treasure trove of Musclecar history and specific vehicle info that would now be basically useless if we can no longer access it...also a Heyday for Scammers and Cloners!
I explained this issue to someone who told me "SEO" Search Engine Optimization needs to be included w/ the update to new system, hopefully it's not too late!
Sorry I can't PM as my messages are at over 1000 after the forum update.

Fixing links is #2 on our list right now. We're also going to write custom code to put pm's in conversations like the old system, not a normal function of VBulletin. You should be able to pm, I've bumped max allowed to 3500 until we get the change made.

Curious why TIME is wrong on our postings...Is that a site issue or do I need to
make a change ????

Chuck,

You need to edit your date and time in user cp/edit options. Scroll down to date and time and set it to GMT-8, Pacific time

I tried that and changed a bunch of different options, but I could not figure out how to do it.
Yes, I've played with the different options too. It changes the way the threads are viewed, but it still doesn't take you to the newest post of the thread where I left off. The way it was you would click on a thread that, say I read yesterday, I click on the same thread the next day and it takes me to the the first new post at the point I left off the day before. It was like the old system held a cookie for everybody, that remembered where everybody left off on every thread at their particular point in time. I tried clicking the New Posts button and it shows me all the new posts for the whole site. Not what I was looking for. Linear goes one way or the other, no in between. Hybrid or Threaded doesn't achieve the desired results either.
Any ideas??
