Default Water pump pulley 3995640BV

Could not find the application for this. Any ideas?

I think big block, long water pump, over the counter replacement. Don't know that it was used on the assy line.

It's a brief late 1970's over the counter service replacement DG pulley that replaced the original assembly line 1969 DG pulley #3947824BV.Issued for all 1969 Spcl. Hi-Perf vehicles with solid liftered 396cid. & 427cid. only.
I first see it appearing in the parts books around 1977.
I've seen a few of these,and if memory serves,it's missing the snout reinforcement in the back and the 8 cornered indents in front.


Here's an original #3947824BV showing those details.

Thanks. that sounds right. I remember buying new pulleys about then for an L88 in a 69 Camaro that kept throwing belts.
