This one is pretty untouched...killer color combination too. You sure don't find many like this in 2015.

Yea, this one has been touched though If you read the auction carefully, you would find out the car has been disassembled work has already been done to floors and seats. Pics are from a year ago when the car was purchased. Which means it is apart and technically a "basket case" A lot a new parts have been bought (likely not GM) and is not clear whether the original parts were saved. too bad too.

Hi helped another member here buy some NOS convertible quarters (I had no clue on how to negotiate value when I found them). I wondered what kind of car would eventually show up that could use a set like those, and maybe this is the kind of car (considering the originals were replaced with something?), if one wanted to be 100% correct.
time will tell.. nice car..I like the RS/SS look, especially in that color combo. |

----Along with the floors, the fenders and quarters as well. Guy is being fairly honest about his purchase and what he found after the fact. He said to read the add carefully as well....Bill S

Only thing I don't care for is if I read that right, the pictures of the car are not the current pictures, but from when he bought the car.
There does not seem to be any pictures as to what the car looks like after the work he did. It could be in pieces for all a potential buyer knows. Otherwise, it is a nice color and looks to be all there real SS 350 Vert. Rich

Is it me? Am I just too cheap or since it's not a "special" car to me (as in this is NOT my first car type of special), that this car is getting about ALL the money it can at mid 20's????
You DON'T have current pictures up, needs full resto, like in the Nova thread where Wilma's stated "The cost to do it right is the same as a big block car, less the driveline components..so it would be hard to justify the expense unless you owned it for very little or it was a family car with sentimental value" It's not even a AC car. PLEASE DO NOT take this the wrong way. YES that's a great style and looking car, and yes should be save, but at what cost? The sell is probably still going to lose $$$ when he sells it.

I wouldn't have done anything to that car. I would have cleaned it up, tuned it up, and drove the wheels off it!

I like the car because I like seeing them in this condition. But the fact is the new owner will have around 65K into a restored small block automatic ,and still it hasnt met reserve.Im starting to like the non rare cars, they sell easy.

Ok I like the car too and would have left it the way it is. In fact, my 1961 CANADIAN Pontiac Parisienne "BUBBLE TOP" is that way. I DID do the seats and carpet, did complete brakes and replaced all the front end suspension stuff. That was just to make it safe and drive-able.
BODY is left with rust and holes. Just putting in a 409/425Hp deal with the T-10 4 speed. I DID letter the car to go with the rough body issues to make the car look like a old race car from back in the 60's though. ![]()
