Looking for the linkage that forces you to put the shifter into reverse so you can take the key out of the ignition. Also operates the backup lights. Came with every 69-72 Chevelle factory Muncie 4 speed car from factory. Most people removed because it interfered with headers.Thanks. Steve. [email protected]

Steve I sent a message and an Email with pictures.
. The rods are numbers 5497 and 2889. It is from my buddy’s 69 or 70 Chevelle. Steve |

Steve- I think your p/n' s are for the Saginaw, not the Muncie, if I'm reading the AIM correctly. I need rods 2888 & 2890 with bell crank 3945491. Anybody think that I am wrong? Steve

Steve- So maybe I am wrong about this but my 1972 AIM p. 344 shows rods 5497 & 2889 with bellcrank 5493 for R P O L65 & L48 (both small blocks). I believe the small blocks came with the Saginaw. The AIM calls out rods 2888 & 2890 & bell crank 5491 only for M20/M22. My buddy had a 1971 L48 with the Saginaw (don't know about his backdrive). I believe that the Saginaw had a different shaped reverse lever or lever location on the tranny thus the different backdrive. If I am reading the AIM wrong please explain. Steve
