Default Real Deal 1969 L89 Camaro

This car just popped up on eBay - claims to be a real deal L89....any thoughts? Is it a known car?

Well I will chime in. Could have paid more attention to the exhaust fitment, particularly the tailpipes. Wrong tires. A lot of markings on the firewall that don't need to be there. Don't see a pad stamp either, or a trim tag, or a VIN above the oil filter. I'll leave any further comments to the 69 Camaro experts here.

Looks like a very nice restoration to me. Exhaust looks right and tires I thought are correct for 14 inch wheels. I have a front license plate from that dealer. Wish I could afford this one as it looks real to me.

So before April of 1969 you could only get Firestone Sport Car 200's on a 1969 Z/28?

On the Z28 you would get Firestone or Goodyears, but not Goodyear polyglas tires prior to 4/69. There have been only a handful of car found with polyglas tires that are orig and dated correctly..

And even though there have been several cars found with Polyglas spares I don't think they were called out on the paperwork. So apparently technically after April 69 they were to be available but in reality there have probably been less than 6 cars found that might have had them from the factory. If I see a 69 with Polyglas I would still call it incorrect.
