The other day I bought some aluminum heads from a local drag racer selling off some parts due to a stroke. They are 074 heads but have a few issues due to his total disregard for original parts. I think I got them cheap enough that there is no way I should get hurt. Ones set (10/9/69 and 7/27/70) has all the winters stamps buried under areas they built up. The other set has the part number and dates removed due to the class he was running. One head from each set has one repair to a stud area and all have a number of helicoils due to being used on a regular basis. The set with the numbers removed have new springs and valve guides. Both sets came off running motors and appear to be mechanically sound.
My intention is to put both sets up for sale and keep the set that doesn't sell first to put on a 427 4bolt main 69 block I am building for a day two car. I know neither set is pristine or worth a ton of money but someone may want a set to use for something similar to my plans. I will offer them on here first and then on to ebay. Appreciate any feedback from anyone who knows the market. page one of ? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I had a set of these heads with similar dates and got $1200 for them.
If the dates were earlier in 69, they'd be worth more.
