Any idea why it doesn't have 427 emblems on it when it was two weeks old?

Of course I can't say with any authority regarding this particular car, but back in the day, many of us didn't want the competition to know what was under the hood.

I concur. The teenaged son of the original owner of my Hemi Charger used the pull the HEMI emblems off whenever he "borrowed" the car from his dad to go race the streets of New Jersey. Just part of the poker game they all played back then. Never tell the competition what you're running.

One of the best and easiest street tricks in the book. My neighbor did the same thing with his Hemi GTX, but it wasn't in the first two weeks. It was only after he couldn't get a race with those emblems on the car.
