From what I could gather on my own there were not a lot made in that color out of the 99, looking at the web I could only find they made 14 orange, nothing on daytona yellow). At this point I can only guess it has to be a low low number. I found an original owner car and he still has it (won't sell it).

I'm not a numbers guy or anything,
![]() Jokes aside, don't trust what you read elsewhere - the best source of the data is right here on this site. What is here portrays the culmination of years of efforts, via multiple sources, and the collaboration of several individuals. First off, I think we only know of 96 of the 99 vins, and we don't even know the colors of all 96! Here is a short list of what we do know: BYellow = 13 DWhite = 3 DYellow = 6 FGreen = 16 GRed = 7 HOrange = 7 LBlue = 19 OGold = 2 Unknown = 23 Total = 96

[ QUOTE ]
I'm not a numbers guy or anything, ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Marlin, I am not a numbers guy either, and appreciate you being the only guy that responded to my question, and putting the accuracy of the information aside for a second (that I regret I posted after the week went by..), I beleive what was intended in that description is that of the 99 cars, 55 had 4 speeds with certain body/interior attributes (including a subset of 6 with a v roof), 37 had automatics and certain body attributes, and 1 had an automatic with certain different body attributes. That number is actually 93 (not 92) which conveyed transmission and body attributes combined as far as a number, and leaves open the remaining number of cars (99 minus 93 = 6) to be undefined. The first part of that article's statement was based on transmission/body/interior aspects. To me 6 were left as undefined in that area. No doubt in the that regretable posting, the color totals (which has no transmission or body aspects tied to it) is off by 2 (agree on that). I sent the editor of that article an email just for my own interests, where he got that information, and will keep that to myself and not corrupt data on this website on this topic. bob |

answering the question I first posted, I should have looked at the vin list that included the colors and transmission type (I forgot that). Of the 6 DY listed (I understand there could be more), ALL are 4spds actually, and of those only one was delivered out east (NY), one was in chicago area, one in Iowa, the remaining 3 were delivered in WI.
