Friend forwarded this to me. Looks interesting. Might be a good alternative for some to a permanent lift...

I really like it. Note the anchor bolt specs are for 3000psi concrete. No house garage will have that unless ordered special. Most houses are 2000 psi concrete.

They used that spec for the anchor bolt strength calculation. I don't think 3000 psi concrete is a requirement, but their calculation is off....
Nice setup. Price??

Doesn't lift it high enough to stand underneath it.

I'd be scared to be under that car..I saw a Volkswagen van/bus fall off a 2 post lift years ago...It wasn't pretty..
I dont question the compression strength of the lift...it is the balance of the car that I would worry about. With a big block hanging off one end of the lift, i'd be concerned. And I do own a 2 post lift along with three 4 post lifts...but my 2 post lift sure looks a whole bunch more heavyduty than this one. ...I think for the 1700 bucks, a 4 post lift just seems worth all the money. How much less can this lift cost?? Anyone know the price??...i guess it is space effective though. jmo.... |

------I bought a two-post lift without any kind of tie-bar across the top a couple of years ago. The company went out of business shortly after I bought it which is another story, but I never could get over the feeling that it would collapse inward someday. I finally had some problems with it and because the Co. was gone I gave the thing away and bought another with a tie-bar. Along with this one being much better, I just seem to trust it more with that tie-bar up there..........Bill S

I'm not getting under that thing. I would be curious as to testing and a copy of their product liability.

One word, "YIKES!" If you use it as shown and don't permanently mount it, it looks like two words, "Oh S#*T !"

Most two post lifts bolt to the ground similar to this one so I don't see a issue there and I think Danmar is a big Co and have probably done their homework. The big sales pitch is the wheels they have attached. It just doesn't lift high enough for me.
