I liked the gray ghost or the cotton picker.

Default Original paperwork ‘76 Schwinn Sting-Ray

For Christmas this year my Dad came to our place to celebrate. He’s been going through the last of his stuff in storage and gifted me the original dealer owner’s manual from my Sky Blue Schwinn Sting Ray they bought for me in March 1977. Per its serial number starting in EM, it was produced in May 1976. I’m such a sucker for original dealer paperwork, that I was really excited to see it. Yesterday, after I cleared out my garage after selling my ‘63 406 Galaxie 500XL project that I finally let go to someone who will finish it, I saw the box he sent me over a decade ago when he sold the house. With my car gone, I unpacked the box and assembled my Sting-Ray, and attached my dealer paperwork to it. It’s funny, while I was putting the seat on and getting reacquainted with how it was attached, it rekindled 45 year old memories of adjusting the seat upwards as I grew.

That is cool that the bike and paperwork are still together. I wish I had my StingRay, but I gave it away the summer I was lifeguarding at Niles pool outside of Chicago.
