Default LS7 454BBC 4-Bolt Block,Steel Crank,7/16DimpleRods

This is a real LS7 454 big block that had the best performance parts available from the factory at the time these were being made. This has not been pieced together from parts from different motors. From the factory these had 12.5 to 1 forged pistons, forged steel cross drilled and nitrated crankshaft, 4-bolt main block with windage tray and the large 7/16 dimple rods with boron rod bolts. The block pad has never been stamped or machined. The code stamped above the timing cover is TO406XCH with part number 10069286 cast on the back of the block and date code C190. This is a Mark-IV 454 big block with a 2-piece rear main seal, clutch pivot hole and the boss for the fuel pump. The buyer will need pistons, heads, cam and misc. small parts to complete this motor. This 4-bolt main block has been magnafluxed, shot peened and rough bored to fit a .030 over piston. It will need to be final bored and honed to fit your pistons. One of the cylinders still has very little rust pitting that the machine shop said should clean up nicely with a final hone. The 7416 forged steel crankshaft should be polished and shot peened but it checks out standard on all journals and is straight. The 7/16 dimple rods were magnafluxed, shot peened and the bolts were Rockwell tested to make sure that the boron bolts are reusable. Everything just came out of the machine shop and I can provide a copy of the receipt from Superior Automotive in Anaheim Ca. I am asking $2795.00 plus freight. I would really like to see someone on this site put this in one of their cars so make an offer.
Please e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any questions or if you want more pictures. Thanks for looking,
Mark Sheppard

Mark,

OK, I have almost the twin to this engine. I was going to list it on Ebay but will hold off until yours is gone. Let me know when it sells.

Thanks,

Jason

That is the second time that we have had the same motor. Remember the 1971 dated L78 with the 1970 engine code you had for sale a couple of years ago? I knew it was real because I had almost the exact same thing in my garage the year before. It just goes to show not everybody knows everything about these parts. Thanks for waiting because it might be a little harder to belive that these are rare when there are two for sale at the same time. You could buy mine and corner the market on these.

Thanks Rob for the good word and thanks Jason for the offer. I lowered the buy it now price on E-bay to $2595.00 and I am serious about making a great deal to somebody on this site because it would be so neat see it in somebody's car when done.

If it helps I found the cam that came with this motor and the original standard size TRW forged pistons that were in the motor before it got machined. I hate to see this thing just sit in the garage and not get used.
