decodes on case to m21 but I have been wrong before

What decodes as M21 on the case? It looks to be a 325 case which is early with no rings on the input shaft.

which means it is a 7/8" countershaft = early trans

It still could be a M21...it could have a replacement input and thus would have no rings on it designating m20 or m21 . Only way to tell for certain is count the input teeth or the front cluster teeth.
