here is the reply when I asked the seller about the Powerglide code on the trim tag and the possibility of restamping.
"Item: Chevrolet : Chevelle (270085808676) This message was sent while the listing was active. yenkogreg is the seller. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I will remind you that Chevy made more than one mistake on a trim tag. I am aware of a few. In fact my buddy owns the only 1963 Z06 convertible ever made and his trim tag, build sheet, and dealer docs call for power steering which was not available for Z06 cars. His car is original with 3000 miles and no power steering. Chevy made many many mistakes. Enough of that, all I am saying is that I restored the car and the motor was standard bore and I documented the deck and the stamp not being touched during it's only rebuild. I restored the car exactly how I found it. I changed no stampings or trim tags. I don't know the history before me and I have no docs. And for this I am being very fair with my price. It's your job to decide if you are comfortable with the car. If you are, please bid and if you are not, please don't. Thankfully there are a ton of people who love the car and want it. Hopefully my honesty has helped. Thanks! Greg. ![]() |

from the Ebait ad.....
Motor casting date is D26 (April 2, 1966) Motor Assembly TO413EG (TO = Towanda, 413 = April 14, EG = 375 horse 4 speed) Correct 3873858 heads (Dated C186 = March 18, 1966 and D26 = April 2, 1966) Correct 1966 4 speed Munci 21 (stamped P0209 = February 9) Correct 410 posi rear end (dated C156 = March 15,1966) Correct 3613 Holley Carburator (dated 633 = 1966, March 3) The motor has been completely rebuilt and a fresh .30 over...... The motor is a fresh .30 over and was not decked during this process. Every effort was taken to preserve the original pad. Does it clearly say if the motor is original to the car or not? It looks great. "this car is drop dead gorgeous" ![]() no docs? |

I hope those are shill bidders. The new Ebag system that prevents us from notifying bidders that the car is a fake is really killing me, its like the deaf dog chasing a ball into the street.
