---Got an original regulator today dated 2E. Cant believe I cant remember how to figure the date. Is it 1962 or 1972??? The rest of the #s are 1119 and 515, but I believe those are on alot of these. Theres a good chance this came of a low mileage Corvette. Whats the consensus???.......Bill S

It should be May 72. In 62 the cars had generators so a different type of regulator was used.

Wasn't mid '72 when the balance of GM cars got the internal regulators...and earlier on the Vettes, 1969 maybe?

It is part of the Delcotron alternators internals, not something you would buy aftermarket.
You can however buy all the internal stuff from different supplieres. |

------Im sorry, Mike. I stated that badly even if you read the first post. I have a 1972 dated regulator just like the one that would come on a 1969 Camaro. Im asking wether this could have come on any 1972 GM vehicle or if it would have to be over the counter???......Bill S
