Default M22 trans dated Sept 69 for 1970 Chevrolet.

I have been doing fall cleaning and need to release some parts back into the wild. Here are the numbers from the trans. Main case 3925661, Tail housing 3857584, Side cover 3950306, Date on case P0P08C Sept. 69 C stands for M22. Stamp is original. There is no vin stamp on trans. Input shaft has 10 spline, output shaft is 27 spline. In reading up on this the side cover is from another year. Although it is fine and there is no difference it is not orig. to the trans. The numbers on the front bearing retainer are correct for M22 also. The fine spline M22 would have been in a 454 Chevelle, so this either was for a Camaro, Corvette or Yenko Nova. The shifter mounting holes have been threadserted and it was a very good job. There is a small crack at the top bolt of the side cover. Not a problem but I wanted to tell you. Also there are 2 small cracks at the hole where the pin retains the reverse selector, this isn't causing any problem either. I gave you pics of all of this. The gears and synchros look good and there was not metal in the oil that I could see. It shifted and worked fine in all gears in my car. I did not abuse it. It has been resealed so probably was rebuilt at some time. Shipping is a little pricey so I would say $1500. shipping included in the price. Let me know if you have any other questions. Pics to follow. Thanks
Dana

Nah! I think Yenko preferred the M21 over the M22, but you never know what he would stick into his converted cars! Just curious if there was another tidbit of info to be learned
