69 Smog hose retainer??
In the attached e-bay add there is a engine shot of a 69 L-89 convert for sale. The smog hose that crosses over to the drivers side is held in place by some kind of reatainer to the side of the T-stat housing. I have never seen this before. Correct/exception/owner modification?? I've seen tons of big block cars and never one of these
clips before. Possibly a 1970's-ish thing????  Steve

I think it goes with the 'I did it with a Sharpie' code on the diverter valve!

are u talking the clip bolted to the alt?? [/ QUOTE ] Nope. Talking about the one that looks like it is attached to the upper rad hose by the water neck. Never seen one before. Not sure what it is suppose to. Maybe it came in the same box as that repop master cylinder. Rick H.
