Default Posi Trunk Label

What is the best way (for correct appearance) to glue the posi label to the inside of the trunk lid? Car is a 68 Camaro if that makes a difference. Thanks

All of the early Camaro (and other Chev) posi labels were glued on with a few swipes of a brown adhesive. You can get the same effect using an adhesive in a tube: 3M Plastic Trim Adhesive, Weatherstrip Adhesive, etc. Virtually all originals have 3 or 4 horizontal swipes - nothing ever around the edges. The bead will be about 1/4" wide - not excessive. Slap the label on - you can't stick your tongue out, squint and line it up (picture someone doing this on the line!).

I believe that these labels were affixed by the worker while leaning in from the sides. Just my observations, and so I affixed mine that way as well - literally glued it, leaned in, and slapped it on! Over-restorers like to make them perfect, but I've never seen one that wasn't crooked.

While we are on the posi trunk decal... Who makes the best (correct) 69 camaro jack instruction decal? I assume this decal was applied the same way and was also made of paprer and not vynal like the repo decals. Thanks! Tommy M.

I like Osborn on these too.All are $3.00 each.
I think they have recently updated to be made on Paper or Vinyl.
