I was at a car show in Chattanooga on Sunday, and there was a very nice ZL-1 clone. The guy was hard to talk to, but he said he got the original # 62 engine from a guy in Florida, and built the clone around it. Garnet Red with red interior.
He said # 62 was in Canada. Just curious if any of you guys had any additional info on the car or engine. |

Not too long ago, Peter Klute on Dream Car Garage (Speed Vision) had a 5 minute segment on the original car (which is in Canada). I taped it and have it with a collection of other shows on COPO cars. Peter Klute stated that it was the only triple red ZL1 ever produced. I am sure you could probably log on to Speed Vision and possibly order the tape on this car.

I don't really know anything about this car. I just always understood the wording "triple" in car terms meant that the interior, body and vinyl top were all the same color. I have never heard of a red top ZL/1 thats all...BKH

Brian,
I was agreeing with you. Just a minor detail that it has 2 red 'components' and is called a triple. Those 3 years in the 2nd grade weren't wasted on me.... ![]()
