Default car hauler

anybody advise me on the "minimal" length of a car transport trailer i could buy, not a 5th wheel type, and a good builder of these trailers. also if ya don't mind w/out stirring up to much dust, how about your thoughts on a new diesel truck to pull this trailer.

I have a 20' enclosed trailer. A Camaro fits just fine but that's about it. If I were to do it over I would go at least 24'
with the 5,000 lb. axles (10,000 GVW)

I have a 24 foot Haulmark trailer. All aluminum with 2 5K LBS axles. It is used, I think a 2000 model? You can get them very cheap!

Trailers are everywhere, just look around. You could have saved yourself a couple of bucks by getting in a few months ago, but you operate about like I do! It would be hard to go wrong with ANY of the newer diesel trucks...

Only buy a cheap trailer if you plan on buying more than one. Have had several Haulmark and Pace - they just dont hold up. Don't want to trailer your pride and joy and worry about breaking down or falling apart.
As far as new diesel trucks - Chevy duramax - hands down!
Am expecting arrival of my new 4500 series Chevy Kodiak next week.
Went toe to toe with a Ford Superduty and blew it away hauling two cars back from Charlotte!

George: that 2 car stacker with living quarters is a pretty nice looking unit. Do you make a 4 car trailer, without living quarters?

I think this was unloading at the Tom Henry show, in the rain.

I am also looking to buy a enclosed trailer for my 70 Nova. Can anyone recommend a company who makes a quality trailer and what are recommended options. I am looking for basic transportation and storage.

Second question: My tow vehicle is an 86 K5 Blazer. Should I even consider using it with the new trailer?

Thanks,
Greg

If you ever tow a inclosed trailer, with a 1 ton Dually you will be impressed. Very stable in cross winds. Blazers are not bad to tow a open trailer with, but the extra pair of tires on the Dually sure do make it more stable. The bigger the trailer the more you will need one.
